Holiday Activity And Food (HAF) Programme
We are pleased to offer DfE’s Holiday and Food Programme (HAF) scheme. The programme is aimed at providing healthy food and enriching activities for primary and secondary school aged children who are eligible for benefit related free school meals
We can offer 64 hours of provision during the summer holiday and 16 hours during the easter and winter holidays, at no cost to you. The sessions will include a healthy meal and a variety of exciting activities. Children may participate in arts and crafts, play games, read or chat amongst themselves in a safe and secure environment. Planned activities are age group related. We are a self-directed PLAY based provision. “Play is a process that is freely chosen, personally directed and intrinsically motivated. That is, children and young people determine and control the content and intent of their play, by following their own instincts, ideas and interests, in their own way for their own reasons.” This is very different from the classroom environment, which can be (and sometimes needs to be) a very structured environment. Children will learn other skills that they need in the growing up process, but in a different way to school.
Your children must be eligible for benefit related free school meals. You will have been issued a booking reference number. Please can you firstname.lastname@example.org this back to us with your child’s name, DOB and School they attend, as well as which of our setting you would like to attend. Please note that we are offering the HAF scheme only on specific days. Please check carefully the dates of the setting you would like to book in your child(ren) in.

In line with government guidelines we developed the Covid protocol and a risk assessment. We kindly ask you to respect all the measure in place nationally when dropping off and collect your children. Please respect the distance from other parents and children, wear a face covering and use hand sanitiser in case you have been ask to pass or use for example a pen to sign a form. The surface, toys and games are disinfected before and at the end of each sessions and we require children to wash their hands and/or use the hand sanitiser available at the club.
